In our This Week . . . 33 Years Ago this week, we had Aretha Franklin and George Michael hit the charts – which means some Aretha and a lot of Wham! on the DN33 Jukebox this week. We also got a staple from any ’80s high school football coach’s mixtape – “The Final Countdown” – so why not have a few more sure things on that tape, namely the Rocky IV soundtrack.
Also, Beastie Boys, Paul Simon, the themes from The Price is Right and The Young and the Restless, and then some wrestling entrance music.
At 2 hours, 15 minutes, the list has a little something for everyone, but it is all 1987.
Every #throwbackthursday, the DN33 Jukebox will be full of all the songs mentioned in the weekly This Week . . . 33 Years Ago charts as well as whatever else is hitting our fancy throughout the week.
